Position Details: Part-Time, Live-Out
Location: Montclair, NJ
Days: Monday - Thursday
Hours: 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Compensation: $30 to $40 per hour, Paid via W2 (on the books)
Additional Benefits: Paid time off and gas stipend
Start Date: 9/8/2026
A family in Montclair, NJ is seeking a reliable, upbeat, and organized part-time Nanny / Household Assistant to support their child and help keep the household running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, is comfortable driving, and can balance childcare responsibilities with light household support.
Main Work Duties:
- Providing attentive after-school childcare.
- Picking up the child from school and driving to activities.
- Maintaining the child’s schedule and daily routine.
- Helping keep the household organized and running smoothly.
- Grocery shopping and household errands.
- Light meal prep and food preparation.
- Assisting with laundry.
- Managing dry cleaning drop-off and pickup.
- Coordinating with the house cleaner as needed.
- Supporting general household organization and daily upkeep.
Required Qualities:
- Has an upbeat, friendly, and positive demeanor.
- Is detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.
- Has a clean driving record and is comfortable driving children.
- Is reliable, trustworthy, and professional.
- Enjoys cooking or is comfortable with light meal preparation.
- Can work independently and take initiative.
Is Cooking Required: Yes, light meal prep. Strong cooking skills are a plus.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ solid years of nanny/household assistant experience in a private home.
- Excellent references from both current and previous employers.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must speak and be able to communicate well in English.
- Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
- Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.
