Dates: September 4, 2025 - June 18, 2026
Work Hours: MondayFriday, 37.5 hours/week
Caseload: Elementary Level (Grades K5), 3040 students

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our collaborative team within the Hackensack School District. This full-time role focuses on supporting students across elementary classrooms through the development and implementation of effective behavioral interventions and strategies. As the school-based BCBA, youll play a critical role in fostering a positive learning environment for students with a wide range of behavioral and developmental needs.

You will work closely with teachers, paraprofessionals, school psychologists, and special education staff to deliver evidence-based behavioral services, with the goal of increasing student engagement, independence, and social-emotional growth.

• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to individual student needs.

• Provide direct and indirect behavioral support to a caseload of approximately 3040 elementary students , including those with autism, ADHD, emotional/behavioral disorders, and other developmental challenges.

• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate behavioral strategies into classroom instruction and school routines.

• Train and coach paraprofessionals, educators, and related staff in behavior intervention techniques, data collection, and fidelity of implementation.

• Monitor student progress and adjust intervention plans using data-driven decision making.

• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to behavior-related goals, services, and progress reporting.

• Ensure that services are delivered in compliance with IDEA , district policies , and ethical guidelines set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) .

• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, and ongoing professional development.

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential in good standing.

• Active New Jersey BCBA license (required at time of hire).

• Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.

• Minimum of 12 years experience working in a school or pediatric setting (elementary experience preferred).

• Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in behavior management and instructional support.

• Effective interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with school personnel and families.
