Job Title: EEG Technician
Location: Edison, New Jersey
Job Type: Contract

• Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible Extension)

• Schedule: 40 Hours per Week

• Shift Timing: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (5×8 Schedule)

• Weekends/Holidays: As Needed

• On-Call: Required

• Local Pay: $30 – $35 per hour (based on experience)

• Travel Pay: $35 – $40 per hour (based on experience)

A healthcare facility in Edison, NJ is seeking an experienced EEG Technician to support the neurology department by performing electroencephalography (EEG) testing and monitoring. The technician will operate EEG equipment, monitor patients during procedures, and assist the neurology team in diagnosing neurological conditions.

• Perform EEG monitoring for both inpatient and outpatient patients

• Obtain and document patient seizure history and prepare patients for EEG procedures

• Monitor patients during EEG studies and report seizure activity to clinical staff

• Record, review, and analyze electrophysiology data

• Assist neurologists during EEG procedures and monitoring sessions

• Maintain and troubleshoot EEG equipment and monitoring systems

• Educate patients and families about EEG procedures and expectations

• Ensure accurate documentation and quality recordings

• High School Diploma or GED

• Completion of an accredited EEG program OR minimum 2 years of EEG experience

• At least 1 year of EEG monitoring experience

• Experience with inpatient and outpatient EEG procedures

• Progress toward certification through the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists

• Experience with Evoked Potentials and Nerve Conduction studies

• Familiarity with EEG systems such as Natus Medical or Nihon Kohden
