Summary: System Administrators ensure our technology infrastructure runs smoothly, supporting both staff and client/server environments. They play a critical role in maintaining reliable, secure systems that align with the evolving needs of the credit union.

This is an In-Office Position.

This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Essential functions include, but are not limited to:

  • In depth understanding of the overall network environments/technologies utilized under the qualifications section.
  • Responsible for the implementation of methods, procedures, & practices used for installation, maintenance, augmentation & repair of network infrastructure.
  • Maintaining the Disaster Recovery Plan/ Operation.
  • In depth knowledge of both Virtual/on-premises server technologies and solutions.
  • Knowledge in deployment, diagnostics, and network configurations.
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
  • Comply with company/NCUA standards, policies/procedures.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision producing results that meet standards of quality, timeliness, acceptability & the ability to switch quickly/comfortably between projects.
  • Flexibility in schedule; in order to resolve IT issues that may arise or to work on projects to be on call.
  • Run vulnerability testing and reporting.
  • Ability to travel to branches.
  • Great communication skills
  • Must be proficient in time management to complete required tasks for projects.
Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

At least 1 year of experience, in the following areas:

  • Windows 10/11
  • SAN/NAS technology, Sharepoint Administration
  • VPN Technology
  • Routers, Switches, Firewalls (Required) (Network+ or CCNA is a plus)
  • Microsoft Server 2019-2025, Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft 365
  • VMware, Veeam, Sophos
  • Strong analytical skills

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ IT or at least 0-2 years of equivalent IT experience.

Language Ability:

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to read and compose clear emails and documentation. Confident in presenting information in one-on-one or small group settings to vendors, contractors, and team members. Skilled in providing technical support in a clear, user-friendly manner.

  • Demonstrate initiative in developing his or her professional skills by:
    1. Actively pursuing expansion of job-related responsibilities and skills
    2. Participating in training and development activities
    3. Regularly attending general staff educational and training programs
    4. Upon gaining sufficient work experience in the office, presenting, or assisting in the development or presentation of such programs.
  • Ensure that he or she can serve as a positive example, convey an approachable "ready and willing to help" attitude, instill confidence and trust, and provide excellent customer service to employees:
    1. Proactively prioritizing and managing his or her workload, remain patient and calm under pressure, adapt quickly to changing circumstances, and provide timely, appropriate, and useful work product and advice; and
    2. Actively and effectively communicating with staff and others as needed to ensure the efficient execution of his or her work-related duties and the maintenance of good working relationships.

    1. Cooperating with staff, listening to, and considering their ideas, sharing information, suggestions, and other opinions with them, and treating them with respect and understanding.
    2. Constructively self-evaluating and receiving feedback regarding his or her performance on an ongoing basis and during his or her annual performance evaluation.
    3. Constructively receiving feedback relating to his or her written work product; and
    4. Assisting with team workload as necessary

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
