The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Senior Commercial Credit Analyst role in the Paramus, NJ market. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective and comprehensive research, analysis and underwriting of CRE and C&I loans for a variety of geographic locations and industries.

The position includes a generous salary of up to $91K and excellent benefits package.

Senior Commercial Credit Analyst responsibilities include:

• Supporting the Bank’s lending activities by providing insightful and timely credit analysis of prospective and current borrowers, including interpretation of financial statements, collateral and cash flows.
• Interacting with loan officers, credit manager, other lending support staff, customers, accountants, and appraisers.
• Accompanying loan officer on customer calls, taking extensive notes for call summaries as well as call memo preparation and following up with customer and accountant regarding required documentation or questions
• Analyze financial data to determine the merits of loan requests.
• Spreading and analyzing financial statements utilizing spreading software.
• Recommend structure as well as identifying cross selling/referring opportunities of other services.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration preferred; accounting/finance experience is beneficial. The appropriate combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• One or more years of credit analysis experience preferred.
• Formal Credit Training.
• Must possess attention to detail, accuracy in work performed, and can multi-task while maintaining focus.
• Excellent PC skills required; must demonstrate the ability to mentor/coach other team members while completing own work at a high level.
