Industrial Machine Mechanic

Staff Management Group is seeking an Industrial Machine Mechanic for our client in East Rutherford, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule :

• 1st Shift: 7AM - 3:30PM
• Monday - Friday
• Some weekends
• Plus overtime

Pay Rate :

• $28 - $30 / hour 

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Machine Mechanic to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and equipment. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, the ability to work with fluid systems, and experience dismantling and rebuilding equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and available to work overtime when needed.

Job Responsibilities :

• Visually inspect machinery and equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed
• Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machine components
• Install and repair electrical components such as transformers, wiring, and related part
• Repair plumbing and piping systems including air and hydraulic systems
• Operate cutting torch and welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and equipment failure
• Follow safety procedures and ensure work is completed according to company standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Assist with additional maintenance tasks as assigned

Job Requirements :

• MUST be bilingual - English AND Spanish
• Trade/Technical School certification or equivalent experience preferred
• Minimum 3 years of related maintenance experience required
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, and maintenance instructions
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and fluid equipment
• Forklift certification required
• Must be available to work overtime when necessary
