Bookkeeper / Payroll Admin

Location: Denville, NJ (On-Site)

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing team in Denville, NJ. This position plays a critical role in managing the day-to-day financial operations for our restoration and reconstruction business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process customer payments, vendor bills, and ensure accurate data entry
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
- Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end closing
- Work closely with the management team to track job costs, project billing, and profitability
- Maintain accurate records for insurance claims, subcontractor payments, and project expenses
- Process payroll on a regular basis and maintain accurate payroll records (experience with Paylocity or similar systems is a plus)
- Communicate with vendors, customers, and team members as needed
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accounting clerk, or similar role
- Experience in construction, restoration, or insurance industries is a plus
- Payroll experience required
- Familiar with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and financial software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Team player with a positive attitude
