We've partnered with a Financial Services Firm in Jersey City, NJ who is looking for a finance candidate to join their team. This is an entry-level role that involves helping to process and settle financial trades, working with internal teams and external partners to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Help process and settle stock and bond trades through DTC (Depository Trust Company).

  • Double-check trade details like account numbers and quantities to make sure everything is correct.

  • Handle incoming trade requests and make sure they meet daily deadlines.

  • Communicate with clients and brokers by email or phone to fix any issues or answer questions.

  • Flag and escalate any trade problems to your manager, especially high-value issues.

  • Keep records and assist with basic reporting tasks.

  • Work closely with your team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

  • Look for ways to improve how tasks are done and increase efficiency.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Must Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business.
  • Prior finance/accounting internship experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
