Join Allied Universal as a Healthcare Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol a dynamic medical location, helping to support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. In this driving post, you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and reporting activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and/or security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized entry, support visitor and staff directions, and document incidents according to site procedures.
- Communicate with supervisors, site contacts, and/or first responders as needed regarding incidents, hazards, medical situations, and other security-related matters.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Must be able to receive required hospital vaccines.
- Must have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or at least 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or at least 3 years of security-related experience.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
- Must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
- Must have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
