Position: Accounts Payable Specialist
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday (On-site)
Pay: $20–$28 per hour (based on experience)

About the Role

M.L. Ruberton Construction Co., Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. If you enjoy problem-solving and have experience in Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable — especially in a Viewpoint accounting system — we want to hear from you!

This is a full-time in-office position located in Folsom, NJ.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate with suppliers to resolve invoicing and payment issues
• Attach documentation to invoices and reconcile POs with received invoices
• Input and post invoices and credit notes with accurate coding
• Prepare monthly supplier statement reconciliations
• Handle internal and external queries via phone and email
• Prepare and process supplier payments with required approvals
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Investigate and resolve outstanding creditor balances
• Monitor and process expense and purchase order payables in Viewpoint
• Correct errors and resolve discrepancies
• Complete account reconciliations
• Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal departments

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of back office experience (AP, AR, Inventory)
• Experience with Viewpoint accounting system (strongly preferred)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Adobe PDF
• Quick learner with new software tools
• Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Construction industry experience is a plus, but not required

Work Location

This position is 100% in-office at our Folsom, NJ headquarters. Remote work is not available.
