Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Technologist
Location: New York, NY
Type: Direct Hire (Permanent)
Schedule: Monday – Friday (5 Days/Week) | 35 Hours/Week
Position Overview:
The Clinical Laboratory Technologist will oversee chemistry laboratory operations, ensuring accurate diagnostic testing, compliance with standards, and effective workflow management within the Pathology Department.
Qualifications:
- Licensed/Qualified Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT) – Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or Physical Sciences – Required
- Minimum 4 years laboratory experience – Required
- Minimum 2 years experience overseeing lab operations – Required
- 3+ years supervisory/leadership experience – Preferred
- Strong experience in chemistry laboratory operations – Required
- Hospital or acute care lab experience – Preferred
Responsibilities:
- Perform and supervise clinical laboratory testing and diagnostics
- Oversee daily chemistry lab operations and workflow
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards
- Maintain accuracy and quality control of lab results
- Supervise and support laboratory staff
- Monitor equipment, supplies, and lab processes
- Conduct staff training and performance oversight
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
