Pay Range: $46.90 - $63.09 per hour

The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Qualifications:

• Requires a bachelor's degree
• Minimum of one year experience in a hospital surgical department or surgery clinic or with clinical research or medical records
• Clinical chart review and abstraction experience preferred
• The ability to complete all online training modules and pass the certification examination is required
• Knowledge of medical terminology, basic anatomy, physiology, and disease process is required
• Computer and internet experience required
• Word and Excel experience is required
• Power Point experience strongly preferred
• Successfully completes the on-line training program for data extraction platform
• Complete on-going training and recertification duties
• Participates in program meetings and teleconferences
• Participates in data compilation for audits and accreditation or site visits
• Periodically attends voluntary in-person professional development seminars offered at various annual meetings such as ASMBS Week, ACS Quality and safety Conference, or ACS Clinical Congress

Essential Functions:

The surgical clinical reviewer is required to:

• Fulfill 100 percent of case abstraction duties of metabolic and bariatric procedures performed at the center
• complete on-going training
• recertification requirements, retrieve, and enter long term follow up data on all bariatric surgical patients
• fulfil requests for outcomes data and reports from the MBS Committee and other appropriate personnel
