Personal Injury Legal Assistant
We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Legal Assistant with expertise in both pre-litigation and litigation. This full-time, onsite role supports our attorneys by managing case files, coordinating schedules, and ensuring efficient case administration. We're looking for a dependable team player with strong organizational, communication, and legal software skills who values collaboration and work-life balance.
Responsibilities
Scan and save incoming mail, emails, and faxes.
Calendar depositions, medical exams, mediations, arbitrations, and court dates.
Send client notices for depositions, medical exams, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances.
Coordinate court reporters, translators, and videographers for depositions.
Confirm attorney appearances.
Request medical records and narrative reports.
Organize electronic medical records and prepare Form A response attachments.
Draft and serve amendment cover letters.
Schedule medical exams and send records to providers after attorney approval.
Answer incoming calls and assist the paralegal.
Process funding requests
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant working on NJ Personal Injury cases is required.
- Can take direction via email and/or verbally
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Windows/MS Office Applications including Outlook Calendar, Word, Excel.
- Knowledge of Adobe PDF a plus
- Past experience working on NJ Personal Injury cases
