Role Summary:
Fillpack is hiring a purchasing specialist to source and buy raw ingredients for cosmetic/personal care production. This person will manage vendor relationships, negotiate best pricing/terms, and ensure consistent supply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure raw materials (oils, butters, actives, fragrances, etc.)
- Request and compare quotes, negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and payment terms
- Maintain vendor list, pricing sheets, and purchase records
- Place and track POs, confirm specs/COAs, and coordinate deliveries with production
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and backup suppliers
- Communicate inventory needs with production and operations teams
Requirements:
- Purchasing/procurement experience (preferably cosmetics, chemicals, or food ingredients)
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with spreadsheets/ERP (QuickBooks/Zoho a plus)
- Clear communication and follow-through
