Qualifications:

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
• IAED or APCO or NECI Basic Telecommunicator (BTC)
• IAED Emergency Medical Dispatcher-Advanced (EMD-A)
• HAZMAT Awareness
• CBRNE/WMD Awareness
• ICS 100
• ICS 200
• NIMS 700
• ICS 800

Preferred:

• Associates Degree

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
• IAED or APCO or NECI Basic Telecommunicator (BTC)
• IAED Emergency Medical Dispatcher-Advanced (EMD-A)
• HAZMAT Awareness
• CBRNE/WMD Awareness
• ICS 100
• ICS 200
• NIMS 700
• ICS 800

Scheduling Requirements:

• Full-Time, Days
• 40 hours per week

Essential Functions:

• Medical Telecommunicator-Communications Training Officer (CTO) for Mobile Health, with 2 years of medical dispatch experience within RWJBH
• The CTO will be tasked with educating and onboarding of the new medical telecommunicators
• The CTO is responsible for answering 9-1-1 telephone calls and other telephone calls, screening them according to the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED) ProQA system and dispatching the appropriate resources
• The CTO will utilize a Computer Aided Dispatch system, radio communications system, and telephone system to communicate with units in the field, update their status on assignment, and ensure the safety of all personnel
• This position requires superior communication skills and customer service skills
