Job Title: Radiologic Technologist I (Radiology Tech CWR)

Location: Hackensack, NJ
Duration: 3 Months - Contract

Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Schedule: 5 days/week | 8 hours/day | 40 hours/week

Other Notes: Every other weekend required. Must be available to work holidays if they fall on scheduled shifts.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Radiologic Technologist I to join our radiology team. This role involves performing a variety of diagnostic radiographic procedures with a focus on patient care, safety, and technical precision. The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in an acute care setting , with the ability to work independently in high-pressure environments such as trauma, emergency, and operating rooms. Pediatric imaging and portable x-ray experience are essential.

• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams by accurately positioning patients and selecting appropriate techniques and technical factors.

• Operate imaging equipment and prepare radiopaque contrast materials as needed.

• Conduct portable x-ray procedures in emergency rooms, trauma settings, operating rooms, and patient rooms.

• Ensure patient safety by restricting radiation exposure to non-affected body parts using proper shielding and beam limitation techniques.

• Label images correctly and completely, including patient identifiers and anatomical markers.

• Develop and process x-ray films following established protocols.

• Maintain orderly exam rooms and ensure readiness of equipment and supplies.

• Support physicians during procedures and assist with positioning and patient care as necessary.

• Complete and maintain all required documentation including patient requisitions, film logs, and administrative tasks such as scheduling and reception duties.

• Demonstrate the ability to adjust care and communication according to patient’s age, language, cultural background, and special needs.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.

• Completion of required clinical training and eligibility for A.R.R.T. certification.

Licensure/Certification:

• Must possess a valid New Jersey State Radiologic Technologist License .

• Must be eligible and prepared to pass the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) examination.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care facility.

• Must have experience in:

  • Operating Room (OR)

  • Trauma and Emergency Room (ER)

  • Portable Radiography

  • Pediatrics
