Commercial HVAC Technician

What You’ll Do

As an HVAC Technician I , you will:

• Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems to keep the building safe and comfortable.
• Use building automation systems to check performance and make repairs as needed.
• Work with BMS technicians to adjust and fix system settings.
• Help the Chief/Supervisor manage subcontractors when needed.
• Review work orders, estimate time and materials, and keep inventory stocked.
• Follow preventive maintenance plans to keep equipment running well.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and call for extra help if needed.
• Complete repair and maintenance records.
• Handle general building repairs (painting, plumbing, electrical).
• Answer internal service calls and tickets from the operations team.
• Communicate clearly and work well with others.
• Follow all safety and OSHA guidelines.
• Help train and mentor team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Universal CFC certification (required).
• 1+ years of HVAC experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Refrigeration experience required.
• Must complete OSHA 10 within 6 months of hire.
• Able to read and understand mechanical drawings and documents.
• Must work safely and protect others.

Other Skills

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PDF).
• Able to lift 50 lbs. or more and climb stairs/ladders.
• Physical activity includes standing, walking, and stooping.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Flexible start and end times)
• On-call as needed

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 31 - 52 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
