Part-Time Mobile Pet Groomer – Excellent Commission + Tips, High Ticket Prices
Are you passionate about grooming pets and delivering high-quality, compassionate care? Furry Land Mobile Pet Grooming is growing fast—and we’re looking for experienced Pet Groomers to join our expanding team!
For over seven years, we’ve redefined the grooming experience by bringing convenient, one-on-one grooming right to our clients' driveways. Our mobile grooming spas offer a low-stress, high-comfort environment for pets and a rewarding, flexible career path for groomers.
Why You’ll Earn More With Us:
Our mobile services are priced higher than most salons, which means you earn more per groom —without needing to squeeze in high volumes each day. With commission-based pay and regular tips, this role offers strong earning potential for groomers who value quality over quantity.
Why Groom with Furry Land?
- Consistent Client Base – We manage the scheduling so you can focus on your craft
- State-of-the-Art Equipment – Work in fully outfitted Mercedes Sprinter vans with climate control and professional grooming tools
- Competitive Pay – Commission-based compensation with tips and consistent volume
- Supportive Team – Full administrative support and a team that values your time and talent
- Flexible Schedules – Work-life balance in a positive, pet-first culture
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform full-service grooming services from start to finish, including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts, de-matting, de-shedding treatments, nail trimming, ear cleaning, sanitary trims, and finishing touches. You’ll work with a variety of coat types, sizes, and breeds—delivering clean, polished results that reflect both your skill and care.
- Groom to breed standards and client preferences, using your professional judgment to tailor each groom to the dog’s coat condition, age, temperament, and the owner’s requests. You’ll be expected to maintain precision and consistency in your grooming techniques with a focus on safety, quality, and aesthetic detail.
- Create a calm, safe, and positive experience for every pet in your care by practicing low stress handling techniques and tuning in to each dog’s individual comfort level. You’ll work one-on-one in a quiet, mobile setting—making trust and patience a key part of your daily routine.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners before and after each appointment to discuss grooming goals, coat condition, behavioral notes, and any skin, coat, or health concerns noticed during the session. You may also provide education or recommendations on at-home grooming and maintenance when appropriate.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of your mobile grooming van, including daily cleaning and sanitation of grooming tools, bathing areas, surfaces, and equipment. You’ll be responsible for ensuring your workspace is always hygienic, well-stocked, and presentable.
- Efficiently manage your schedule and grooming process to stay on track without rushing or cutting corners. You’ll be responsible for pacing yourself through appointments while ensuring each pet receives the care and time they need.
- Drive and operate the mobile grooming van safely and responsibly, including navigating to client homes, parking appropriately, and handling equipment with care. You must follow all traffic laws and company policies related to vehicle use and safety.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 1 year of professional full-service grooming experience is required
- Strong knowledge of breed-specific grooming techniques and coat care
- Veterinary, kennel, or animal care experience is a plus
- Skilled in handling pets of all sizes, ages, and temperaments—especially senior, reactive, or anxious dogs
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Physically able to lift and support pets up to 75 lbs
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service
- Self-motivated, independent, and reliable
- References and a grooming portfolio must be available upon request
- Certification from a professional grooming program is preferred but not required
If you’re ready to take your grooming career on the road and be part of a trusted, rapidly growing brand, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply today and join the Furry Land family—where your work truly matters.
