Information Security Engineer

Information Security Engineer needs must have recently demonstrated experience with networks, endpoints, architecture, and solution engineering.
Information Security Engineer requires:
-Bachelor's Degree required, with a preference in Computer Science, Business, or related discipline.
-Professional certification such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or other industry recognized information security credential are a plus.
-Must have recently demonstrated experience with networks, endpoints, architecture, and solution engineering.
-Must have the ability to analyze, document and assess complex corporate environments.
-Must have a high degree of initiative, dependability and able to work with little supervision.
-Must have current experience in information security with demonstrated technical experience with the following technologies:
oPalo Alto Firewall v9/10, Prisma Access
oCisco routers, switches, VPN
oCisco Umbrella
oNetworking technology, routing, switches, subnetting, protocols
oWindows Server 2019/2022 / Linux servers RHEL7/8
oWindows 10
oOffice 365/Azure
oVMware ESXI
oCloud Flare
oTrendMicro Deep Security or Workload Security


-Possesses and displays excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear, focused, and concise manner. Ability to work with all levels of the organization, both technical and non-technical
-High level of personal integrity, ability to professionally handle confidential matters, and reflect appropriate level of judgment and maturity is required.
-High degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervision is required.
-Must have the ability to recognize opportunities for change and act as a catalyst for change management.
-Effective project management skills and the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects is required.
Information Security Engineer duties:
oMaintain TrendMicro Workload Security, agents, troubleshooting, deployment, and migration.
oOperational support of Cisco Umbrella and Palo Alto Prisma Access
oReview firewall requests, sanitize requests to company standards and review with the approving manager.
oSolution architect and engineering requests for security engineering and solution architecting
oEnsures that information security deployments are properly architected, implemented, and have defined operational support.
oTroubleshooting application security issues, using Wireshark for packet captures
oProvide security consulting services, as needed, to various projects to ensure all information security needs are met.
oWork with minimal supervision and be responsible for independently making a broad range of critical decisions. Apply sound judgment, escalating issues and decisions to the appropriate executive when necessary.
