The Sales Assistant provides essential support to the Sales Department by managing communications from dealers and District Sales Managers (DSM’s). This role involves high-volume interaction with external partners, including order processing via phone, email, and fax, while delivering exceptional customer service. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive attitude are key to success.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and process dealer orders via phone, email, fax, or voicemail.
- Respond to dealer and DSM inquiries regarding order status, product availability, pricing, promotions, and shipment tracking (UPS).
- Manage new accounts, terminations, dealer address changes, price adjustments, and other credit/debit-related paperwork.
- Maintain and update internal spreadsheets; support occasional Excel projects.
- Draft professional correspondence and reports.
- Perform general administrative duties including filing, documentation, and data entry.
- Deliver superior customer service in every interaction.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- 1–2 years’ experience in customer service or administrative support, preferably in a sales environment.
- Strong phone presence with a pleasant, professional manner.
Skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and math aptitude.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Typing 50 WPM preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with flexibility and problem-solving capabilities.
