Employee Benefit Account Manager
Job Description:
Our client, a growing insurance brokerage, is seeking an Employee Benefit Account Manager. This individual will be the primary point of contact for clients' day-to-day benefits needs. They will manage the full lifecycle of the client experience—from onboarding and enrollment to complex claims advocacy and renewals. This is an onsite position in New Jersey.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a proactive advocate for founders and HR leads, anticipating needs and maintaining high retention through exceptional service.
- Manage the "adds, terms and changes" process.
- Ensure accurate data entry and policy maintenance.
- Navigate the carrier ecosystem to resolve billing and claims issues.
- Assist in preparing renewal presentations and application submissions.
- Interface directly with major carriers and wholesale partners to streamline underwriting and enrollment.
- Maintain rigorous standards for documentation and regulatory requirements, ensuring all records are audit-ready.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in an insurance brokerage with a focus on small-group health and ancillary benefits
- Active health and life insurance producer license
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Rippling, and Employee Navigator
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume environment
Pay Range:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $80K - $110K annually. We understand salary is an important factor in a job search, and we encourage you to apply even if you feel that your desired compensation may fall outside of the listed range. The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
