We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Manager to join their team and support core HR functions across payroll, recruitment, employee relations, and labor coordination.
The Opportunity:
The HR Manager will play a key role in managing day-to-day HR operations, including payroll administration, employee onboarding, and recruitment. This individual will serve as the primary liaison with union representatives and support employee relations across departments. The ideal candidate will have prior HR administrative experience, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset. Experience in manufacturing and bilingual communication are a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage payroll processes including timesheets, accruals, and payments.
- Serve as the point person for union communications and labor relations.
- Lead employee onboarding and orientation processes.
- Address and resolve employee issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Drive recruitment efforts including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
- Maintain accurate HR records and support general ledger entries related to HR functions.
- Collaborate with department managers to support workforce planning and employee engagement initiatives.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience: 3+ years in HR administration with direct experience in payroll, onboarding, recruitment, and employee relations.
- General ledger experience required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English or other language).
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
