Python & SQL Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Python & SQL Developer for a Contract with a client in Newark, NJ/ Tampa, FL (Hybrid). You will develop and optimize Python-based backend applications and SQL-driven data solutions, ensuring high‑performance data access for analytics and reporting .

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Python & SQL Developer job responsibilities include:

• Develop, test, and maintain Python-based backend applications, scripts, and data processing logic.

• Write, optimize, and manage complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects to support application and analytics needs.

• Design and maintain relational database schemas while ensuring data integrity, performance, and reliability.

• Build and automate data workflows, including batch processes, ETL support, and data validation tasks.

• Troubleshoot and optimize application and database performance issues through query tuning and system monitoring.

• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in Python and SQL development.

• Strong proficiency in Python for backend development and data processing.

• Strong expertise in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
