CAD Operator
A CAD Operator is needed for a company that produces electronics and HVAC equipment for buildings in the Totowa, NJ area. This is a detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafter role for the electrical construction industry, specifically focused on low-voltage systems like fire alarms and security. location: Totowa, New Jersey

work hours: 8am to 5pm
education: High School responsibilities:
- Utilize AutoCAD (version 2014 or higher) to prepare construction drawings.
- Develop floor plan layouts, riser diagrams, and electrical interconnection drawings.
- Support the installation of low-voltage systems including fire alarms, security, and access control.
- Prepare technical submittal documentation such as data sheets and battery calculations.
- Maintain and track project drawing files, records, and as-built documentation.
- Collaborate with the Design Team to receive and execute specific project assignments.
- Apply practical experience from the mechanical or electrical construction fields.
- Manage tasks using Windows-based software and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ensure all drafting work and documentation reflect high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organize and update installation termination drawings under professional supervision.
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD (version 2014 or higher).
- Must be proficient using Windows based software and MS office 2000 or higher (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Must have strong organizational skills.
- Someone with a little bit of experience in the construction field.
- More along with electrical or mechanical construction, not electronic board layouts.
