Job Title: Primary Care Physician for Patients with I/DD

Reports to: Chief Medical Officer

Employment: Contract (2 hours/week)

StationMD is a telehealth company dedicated to serving individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD). All StationMD clinicians are board-certified and specially trained to treat individuals with I/DD. Clinicians are available 24/7 via telemedicine for urgent and non-urgent medical matters. StationMD also offers scheduled behavioral health telemedicine to individuals with I/DD. In providing this suite of services, StationMD enables individuals with I/DD faster access to high-quality care and substantially reduces unnecessary medical costs.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Primary Care Physician to join our virtual healthcare team, specializing in providing primary care services to patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). This role offers the flexibility of working from home, with no on-call responsibilities. The physician will deliver outpatient care through our secure telehealth platform, focusing on managing the unique healthcare needs of this population.

• Conduct virtual primary care consultations with patients with I/DD via secure video platform
• Manage a case load of approximately 20 patients, ensuring comprehensive and individualized care plans
• Perform diagnostic assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate ongoing care
• Address behavioral, medical, and mental health needs specific to patients with I/DD
• Document patient interactions thoroughly in electronic health records
• Collaborate with specialists, caregivers, and support teams
• Educate patients and caregivers on health management, preventive care, and wellness strategies
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Board certification in Family Practice or Internal Medicine
• Valid Tennessee state medical license or Interstate medical licensure
• Experience in primary care, preferably with patients with I/DD
• Knowledge of the healthcare challenges faced by individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Strong communication skills and an empathetic, patient-centered approach
• Proficient in telehealth technology and electronic health records
• Ability to work independently in a virtual environment
