LPN/Medication Technician
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides quality care and services by administering medication and treatments in a safe organized manner.
- Reviews, reads, notates, and initializes Daily Log to document pertinent information about residents.
- Administers, assists with, and observes medications and treatments for residents using the MAR.
- Ensures that medications are passed according to times.
- Documents and initials as medications are given and ensures that appropriate documentation is completed for refusal or missed doses.
- Restocks medication cart after all medication passes.
- Reports all resident concerns made while administering the medication to the nurse.
- Counts all narcotics with another Medication Tech each shift.
- Practices routinely good standard care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene and health
- Audits Medication carts.
