The Key Objective of the Logistics Manager is to contribute to the growth and profitability of Multi-Pak by effectively executing the Shipping and Receiving functions of the Warehouse. Specifically, under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), he/she is responsible and has commensurate authority for the following:
1. Manage the receiving and scheduling of incoming components for the Chapin and Clinton warehouses.
2. Coordinate and support the receipt of all materials delivered to Multi-Pak, ensuring proper documentation is obtained and delivery appointments are scheduled.
3. Oversee the scheduling and documentation of all outbound finished goods shipments, ensuring monthly shipment targets are met and all loads are dispatched before month-end.
4. Prepare and finalize accurate shipping documentation for all outbound shipments.
5. Develop and communicate daily receiving and shipping schedules with Warehouse, Procurement, and Production teams.
6. Monitor and track all inventory transfers between the Clinton and Chapin warehouse locations.
7. Maintain and update the Multi-Pak Shipping Tracker daily to ensure data accuracy and visibility.
8. Ensure full compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
9. Lead, coach, and train team members on receiving, shipping, and documentation processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
10. Provide ongoing performance support, guidance, and cross-training to ensure operational stability and team development.
OBJECTIVES:
The Key Objective of the Logistics Manager is achieved if the annual review shows that:
1. Ensure all receiving and shipping functions are executed efficiently, on time, and in full compliance with SOPs and cGMP standards.
2. Maintain a high level of accuracy and timeliness across all outbound shipments to meet customer expectations.
3. Oversee the integrity and accuracy of all shipping and receiving records and documentation and logbooks.
4. Proactively identify, investigate, and communicate shipping and receiving issues to management, enabling timely resolution and continuous improvement.
5. Drive the successful execution of monthly shipping goals by ensuring all planned customer orders are fulfilled accurately and shipped on schedule.
Essential Functions:
1. Communicate and coordinate all shipping and receiving activities across internal/external departments to ensure alignment.
2. Plan and manage inbound and outbound shipping schedules, ensuring all team members are informed of plans, priorities, and any changes.
3. Verify all outbound shipments for accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to release.
4. Manage and oversee weekly inventory counts, ensuring accuracy and reporting results to internal team.
5. Promote and enforce safe work practices across the site, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.
6. Lead, train, and develop direct reports, fostering a high-performing team through coaching, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years’ experience in shipping, receiving and/or inventory management
- Bi-lingual is a plus (English/ Spanish).
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Frequently lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift up to 45 pounds
- Remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the workday.
- Walk or stand for up to 90% of the workday.
- Work in confined spaces, including narrow aisles and passageways within a warehouse environment.
- Perform physical movements such as kneeling, climbing, crawling, and reaching as required to complete job duties.
- The ability to be outdoors at times, during inclement weather.
