Contract Details:
- Schedule: Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (2x12s)
- Hours/Week: 24 hours
- Duration: 13 weeks with potential extension
- Pay: Up to $2,088/week (Traveler rate)
Job Summary:
Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for weekend night shifts. This part-time role involves delivering high-quality respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary conditions under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory therapy and manage ventilators under medical direction.
- Assist in intubations and set up supportive respiratory equipment.
- Conduct patient assessments, collaborate with medical teams, and provide disease education.
- Build rapport with patients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
Licenses & Certifications (Required):
- Valid New Jersey RRT license
- Valid NJ Respiratory Care License
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS
- PALS
Skills:
- Strong adaptability, accountability, teamwork, and patient-focus
- Ability to lift/push/pull a minimum of 5 lbs and stand for at least 1 hour/day
