Accounting and Finance Specialist
Kforce's client is a Publicly Traded Financial Services company located in Northern NJ. They are expanding and looking for an Accounting and Finance Specialist. This company offers a hybrid work environment with new offices and great benefits. The Specialist will lead and coordinate finance-related projects in partnership with cross-functional teams to support accurate financial reporting and a strong control environment. This person ensures projects align with applicable accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate finance projects, including timelines, communications, budgets, and status reporting
- Partner with IT, project management, and finance systems teams to support project execution
- Prepare periodic financial reports, metrics, and audit support schedules related to projects
- Assess and document the impact of projects on financial close processes and internal controls
- Evaluate emerging technologies and develop business cases for system enhancements or new solutions
- Support internal control documentation and compliance activities, including audit and control testing support
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- CPA or similar certification preferred
- 5-8 years of relevant accounting or finance experience
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and financial reporting processes
- Experience with general ledger systems, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
