Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is hiring for an Electrician trade mechanic at the Community Medical Center. This is a Full-Time position. The Electrician installs and maintains electrical wiring, control, and lighting systems; they will perform other tasks as directed by the Chief Engineer, Manager or Director of Engineering and will answer and dispatch emergency calls as needed during off hours.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years of electrical experience

Preferred:

• NJ electrician license preferred

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• New Jersey Driver’s License

Scheduling Requirements:

• 8:00am-4:30pm
• Monday-Friday with bi-weekly weekend on-call requirements
• Full Time

Essential Functions:

• Ability to work independently and follow repairs through completion
• Install and maintain electrical wiring, control, and lighting systems e.g., switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels, other safety and distribution components
• Inspect, repair, and replace electrical components and equipment such as wiring, fixtures, insulated cables, transformers, and circuit breakers
• Perform general electrical maintenance and corrective/preventive maintenance on electrical systems, electrical panels, and circuits
• Inspect, test, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical system issues, safety hazards, and malfunctions
• Follow the National Electrical Code, state and local building regulations, and safety procedures for every installation and repair
• Accurately log hours using the work order tracking system TMS
• Monthly Generator Testing in accordance with joint commission requirements
