English as a Second Language (ESL) Instructor
• Utilizes a variety of approaches to maximize the learning of a range of students
• Incorporates learning on such issues as workplace skills, health literacy, and financial literacy, into the program
• Motivate students
• Recognizes student achievement
• Assures that teaching is relevant to student needs
• Participates in established CARF Standards Planning and Performance Measurement • Monitors and reports attendance
• Assures that essential topics related to life and work skills constitute the major portion of class time
• Prepares students for post-tests which delineate progress
• Maintains contact with department staff to address attendance concerns
• Utilizes SmartBoard, computers and/or iPads with students on a regular basis
• Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Minimum BA degree
TESOL Certification (preferred)
Minimum two years of experience teaching adults
Experience teaching Beginning English language learners (preferred) Salary
$35.00 /hr
