Delivery Assistant Responsibilities:

• Bring materials, boards, lumber, etc. from lumber yard (outdoors) to the mill shop (indoors) using manual labor, carts, pallet jacks and other equipment.
• Physically loads material onto company delivery trucks. Must be able to lift with legs up to100 lbs and load truck.
• Bring fastening equipment to trucks and assists with securing items for delivery
• Ensures the safe handling of finished product and items.
• May ride in company truck and assist driver with large / heavy deliveries which may require OT (travel back to worksite)
• Ensure order accurately matches customer need/order sheet
• Does NOT operate open saws.

Delivery Assistant Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to lift up 50 lbs repetitively throughout 8 hour shift and carry material up to 100 lbs on occasion to lift onto truck.
• Must be able to stand, use of both arms/hands/legs,
• Must be able to work indoors and/or outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to work 8 hours per day on designated shift and be available for full time work, minimum 40 hours per week. Call outs the morning of your shift may lead to immediate termination as this role is key to making scheduled deliveries. If you need off, you must ask in advance.
