Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Math content area credits required
• Candidates with Teacher of the Handicapped certification and math credits are welcome
• Previous experience teaching or supporting students with special needs, particularly in math, is highly valued
• Strong collaborative skills and commitment to inclusive instructional practices
• Excellent communication, organization, and adaptability in classroom settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver modified and individualized math instruction for students requiring special education services
• Develop and implement IEP goals related to math, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams
• Use evidence-based teaching strategies to enhance math comprehension
• Monitor and document student progress in accordance with state and school guidelines
• Actively participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff development opportunities
