SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Worker communicates with the production staff to support the needs of each department. While keeping up with the preventive maintenance schedule, being able to multitask and prioritize with any unforeseen issues causing disruption to production or a task being requested by the non-production staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

· Performing routine and periodic inspections of equipment using the preventive maintenance program to ensure that equipment is functioning properly. Performing activities on equipment such as mechanical, electrical, welding, or machining maintenance including lubrication, inspection, and replacement parts.

· Diagnose, troubleshoot, update, repair malfunctioning, or installation of new plant equipment.

· Use hand, electrical, bench, and machine tools in the repair and maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.

· Maintain records of plant function readings, equipment history, inventoried parts used for repairs, and the preventive maintenance program records and schedules.

· Ensure and adhere to safe work practices and procedures including, but not limited to lockout/tag out, PPE, Respirator, and IIP (Injury, Illness, and prevention).

· Experience operating manual forklifts and automatic scissor lifts.

· Experience with welding parts is a plus.

Being a good team player, punctual, reliable, good communication skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of five years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Good written and verbal communication skills in English (e.g. Email, Text, MS Office). Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
