Senior Lead Plumber (Residential Service + Light Commercial) – Full-Time

Martinelli Plumbing & Heating, Inc. – Hainesport, NJ

Martinelli Plumbing & Heating is hiring a Senior Lead Plumber to run primarily residential service calls (with some light-commercial work). This is for a plumber who can diagnose quickly, make clean repairs, keep the customer informed, and set the standard for workmanship. If you do things the right way and can explain options without pressure, we want to talk.

Pay

• $32.54 – $39.67 per hour (based on experience and performance)
• Weekly pay + performance bonuses/incentives

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday–Friday
• Occasional overtime/weekend work during peak demand
• Participation in on-call rotation (as needed)

Responsibilities

• Lead residential plumbing service calls from diagnosis to completion
• Repair/install plumbing systems including piping, valves, fixtures, drainage, and water heaters
• Troubleshoot efficiently and present clear repair options to homeowners
• Maintain clean, code-compliant workmanship and protect the customer’s home (drop cloths, cleanup, etc.)
• Recommend helpful upgrades/add-ons in a consultative way (no pressure)
• Complete job documentation (photos/notes) and communicate job status to the office
• Keep truck stocked, organized, and ready for the next call
• Follow safety protocols, local codes, and company standards
• Support/mentor a helper when assigned and keep jobs moving

Requirements

• Proven residential plumbing service experience and ability to run calls independently
• Valid driver’s license + clean driving record (must be insurable)
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in basements, crawl spaces, and other tight areas
• Strong communication skills with customers and the office

Preferred

• NJ plumbing license (Journeyman/Master) or actively working toward it
• 5+ years plumbing experience (service-heavy preferred)
• Water heater and gas piping experience
• Drain cleaning and strong diagnostic skills
• Housecall Pro experience (plus, not required)
