Job Title: Waste Disposal Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Waste Disposal Technician to support hazardous waste operations across various client sites and internal facilities. This hybrid role involves both fieldwork and office-based documentation, including lab pack management, waste profiling, and drum pickups.
Responsibilities- Prepare and manage waste profiles for disposal in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Perform lab pack services, including identification, segregation, packaging, and labeling of hazardous materials.
- Conduct drum pickups and coordinate transportation logistics for hazardous waste.
- Maintain accurate records and manifests for waste shipments.
- Ensure compliance with EPA, DOT, and OSHA standards during all handling and disposal activities.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure safe and efficient waste management.
- HAZWOPER Certification (current or ability to renew).
- 1–3 years of experience in hazardous waste handling or environmental services.
- Familiarity with lab pack procedures, waste profiling, and drum management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in both office and field environments.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- OSHA 10, 30, 40 Certifications.
- 5+ years of construction field experience.
- Experience in plumbing, piping, trenching systems, construction, and landfill work.
- Strong knowledge of PVC Pipe Installation and blueprints.
- Experience with confined spaces and equipment is a plus.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment consists of extended periods in the field under various weather conditions, including heat and cold stress. Physical exertion is required, including lifting up to 50 lbs. The role is hybrid, with 50% of the time spent in the office and 50% in the field. Candidates will represent the company on client sites, serving as a walking marketing presence.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fair Lawn, New Jersey.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.50 - $28.00/hr.
