Travel Registered Nurse CCU Job

TLC Healthforce
Trenton, NJ
Step into a pivotal role as a Travel Registered Nurse specializing in CCU, where your expert cardiovascular and critical care skills will directly influence outcomes for patients in need of meticulous, life-saving support. This opportunity places you at the forefront of cardiac critical care, guiding patients through complex recovery journeys with precision, compassion, and teamwork. Picture yourself delivering advanced hemodynamic monitoring, complex medication management, and swift, evidence-based interventions in state-of-the-art CCUs. Each shift becomes a chance to impact lives—protecting fragile hearts, stabilizing critical conditions, and supporting families during challenging moments. This is more than a job; it’s a calling to elevate patient care, mentor peers, and continually sharpen your CCU expertise in diverse clinical settings. And as you explore your professional path, you’ll also have the chance to experience the beauty of New Jersey, a state that blends history, culture, and natural scenery with modern living.

New Jersey—and Trenton specifically—offers a compelling backdrop for your next assignment. Trenton sits at the heart of the Garden State, a city rich in heritage with a modern healthcare landscape that supports cutting-edge practice. Beyond the hospital walls, you’ll discover a tapestry of experiences: riverfront strolls along the Delaware, thriving arts and dining scenes, and convenient access to major metro hubs, including New York City and Philadelphia. The region makes every weekend a potential mini-retreat, from waterfront parks and historic districts to innovative culinary scenes and cultural festivals. For those who crave variety, the broader New Jersey area presents a spectrum of environments—from academic medical centers to community hospitals—creating opportunities to broaden your CCU repertoire while remaining within reach of scenic shorelines and picturesque escapes. And if you’re drawn to exploring more of the U.S., this program’s flexible travel approach gives you the chance to immerse yourself in a broad array of facilities while continuing to call New Jersey home between assignments.

Role specifics and benefits are designed to empower you to perform at the highest level while enjoying robust support and growth. As a CCU RN on travel assignments, you’ll lead direct patient care for critically ill cardiology and postoperative cardiac surgery patients, with responsibilities including continuous hemodynamic monitoring, arterial and venous access management, frequent telemetry interpretation, complex medication administration (inotropes, vasoactive agents, antiarrhythmics), ventilation management under physician guidance, and rapid response to evolving clinical crises. You’ll participate in daily interdisciplinary rounds, develop and update individualized care plans, and coordinate with cardiology, ICU, and operating room teams to ensure seamless transitions of care. Your hands-on expertise will be complemented by a commitment to patient and family education, ensuring comprehension of treatment plans, post-discharge considerations, and psychosocial support. The position offers clear pathways for professional growth: opportunities to sharpen critical-care competencies, pursue CCU-certified tracks, and assume mentorship or charge-nurse responsibilities as you demonstrate excellence. We emphasize a supportive, evidence-based environment where you can advance clinically, contribute to quality improvement projects, and expand your scope with new protocols and technologies.

This program features highly competitive benefits designed to attract and retain top CCU talent. In addition to a rewarding compensation package, you may be eligible for a sign-on or completion bonus, helping you maximize your initial impact. You’ll benefit from housing assistance to simplify transitions between assignments, reducing logistical burdens so you can focus on patient care. Extension opportunities enable you to lengthen successful placements, deepen relationships with clinical teams, and broaden your CCU experience across different hospital cultures. A guaranteed minimum of 36.0 hours per week provides reliability and work-life balance, while weekly pay ranges from $2,043 to $2,153, reflecting the value of your expertise and the demanding nature of critical care nursing. Keep in mind that pay and hours are estimates and may vary by assignment; final compensation packages will be confirmed during the hiring process. Throughout your travels, you’ll enjoy 24/7 support from a dedicated team ready to assist with housing logistics, credentialing, clinical questions, and on-site coordination, ensuring you’re never navigating a shift alone.

Our company is built on a foundation of empowering staff to advance their careers within a nurturing, respectful environment. You’ll find a culture that prioritizes professional development, recognizes clinical excellence, and supports ongoing learning through certifications, specialty training, and leadership opportunities. We’re committed to fostering a collaborative atmosphere where CCU RNs thunderously impact patient outcomes while feeling supported, valued, and heard. The organizational ethos extends beyond the bedside: we invest in resources, mentorship, and career pathways that enable you to chart a meaningful trajectory—whether you aim for nurse leadership, education roles, or advanced practice avenues—while maintaining a strong focus on personal well-being and work-life harmony.

If you’re ready to answer the call to advanced CCU care, to travel with a purpose, and to join a company that champions your growth and your patients’ recovery, this is your moment. Apply now to begin a transformative journey as a Travel Registered Nurse in CCU, serving in New Jersey’s vibrant Trenton area and across diverse U.S. facilities. Embrace the chance to influence cardiac outcomes, expand your clinical horizons, and be part of a team that stands with you every step of the way. Start date is March 3, 2026, with assignments measured in weeks, guaranteed hours, and a clear path to ongoing extension. Your next chapter in compassionate, high-stakes nursing awaits.
