Java Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Java Developer for a Contract with a client in Dallas, TX/ Tampa, FL/ Jersey City, NJ. You will design and integrate complex APIs, debug advanced issues, and support core systems to ensure seamless performance across the organization .

Rate Range: $50/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Java Developer job responsibilities include:

• Analyze business requirements and create accurate development estimates while designing and developing Java‑based applications, APIs, and web solutions.

• Integrate applications with third‑party vendor APIs such as Guidewire, ISO, Xactimate, and payment processors.

• Debug and resolve complex technical issues, deliver high‑quality code, and conduct code reviews and walkthroughs.

• Support production systems in partnership with the Production Support Team and provide backup development for policy, billing, and claims systems.

• Conduct proof‑of‑concepts on emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement of IT architecture and development processes.

• Identify risks, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with senior developers and consultants to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or a related field.

• Minimum 7 years of hands‑on Java programming experience.

• Strong proficiency with Java, JavaScript, HTML, SQL Server, Spring Boot, Git/GitHub, and experience with AWS (including Lambda and Beanstalk).

• Demonstrated ability to design and integrate APIs, debug complex issues, and work within agile development methodologies while effectively communicating across teams.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $53.00 per hour
