We are currently seeking a Quality Control (QC) Inspector to support food safety, product quality, and compliance in a cold environment. This is a stable, long-term opportunity with a growing organization.

Position Overview

• Position: Quality Control Inspector
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00AM
• Saturdays: Mandatory when requested
• Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour
• Opportunity Type: Stable, long-term assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished meat products to ensure quality and food safety standards are met
• Perform quality inspections in cold and refrigerated environments
• Monitor production and packaging lines for compliance with company procedures, HACCP plans, and USDA/FDA regulations
• Verify product specifications including weight, temperature, labeling, and packaging accuracy
• Identify product defects or non-conformances and report findings to production and management teams
• Document inspection results by completing reports, tracking rework and waste, and entering data into quality systems
• Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and ensure corrective actions are properly followed
• Assist in training production staff on quality control, sanitation, and food safety practices
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process and quality enhancements
• Ensure measuring equipment (thermometers, scales, metal detectors, etc.) is properly calibrated and functioning
• Maintain strict adherence to sanitation, hygiene, and PPE requirements

Qualifications

• Previous quality control or inspection experience in food or meat processing preferred
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety standards is a plus
• Ability to work in cold environments for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, professional, and safety-focused
