Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Brick, NJ 08724

Hours: 36 hours/week, 12 hours/day, 3 days/week

Schedule: 13-week assignment, 6:45 PM – 7:00 AM, weekends and holidays as needed, no on-call requirement

Job Summary

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides and administers all aspects of respiratory care therapy and supportive equipment under the supervision of Respiratory Services leadership, in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy under medical direction, including education, treatment, management, and diagnostic evaluation for patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies.

• Perform intubation assistance , ventilator setup, and management.

• Gather patient information to evaluate needs, including disease education, testing, and consultation with other healthcare professionals.

• Develop rapport and mutual respect with patients, caregivers, and team members to support care goals.

• Provide and document patient/caregiver education in an understandable manner.

• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

• Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

• Lift a minimum of 5 lbs., push/pull a minimum of 5 lbs., and stand at least 1 hour per day.

• Maintain regular contact with medical personnel and visitors.

Education & Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program .

• Current New Jersey Respiratory Care license .

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in New Jersey.

• BLS (AHA) , ACLS , and PALS certifications.
