A family in Westwood, NJ is seeking a nanny for their 4-month-old twins. The typical schedule will be Monday through Friday for 20-25 hours per week. The times are flexible but afternoon hours are preferred.

Duties include :

Engaging the children in safe & fun activities when they are awake. Supervising nap time. Cleaning the sink for bath time. Helping to prepare purees and meals as the girls start solids. Possibly tandem bottle feeding (one girl will not accept the bottle from anyone but Mom, so this one may not happen!) Washing bottles. Doing the family’s laundry. Possible additional tasks include helping to fold some adult clothes, putting away groceries, prepping the dog’s homemade food, making sure he has clean water, and letting him in and out of the house.

Ideal nanny :

The ideal nanny for this family is kind, energetic, motivated, and detail oriented. She takes great pride in keeping things sanitized and germ-free! She is experienced with infants but also open minded and communicative; Mom is willing to learn but wants to be heard. The ideal nanny will develop a trusting, caring, fun, and protective relationship with the girls. She is physically able to lift, move, and play with two infants. She is comfortable working in the home while the parents are also home. Nanny must have good common sense, critical thinking skills, and professional communication skills. The ability to swim is a plus.

About the children :

Twin #1 is healthy, happy, ane curious. She loves to play and interact. She is currently in a “happy screams” stage. Twin #2 is also healthy, happy, curious, playful and interactive. She is currently in a “scritchy scratch” stage.

About the household :

These parents are kind, generous, thoughtful, and energetic. Mom is currently a stay-at-home parent but is the former director of a large emergency feed operation in NJ. Dad is in federal law enforcement. They have a calm, friendly, 60-70 lb dog.

Parents are gently starting to establish a schedule for the twins, including self soothing at bedtime and weaning them off night feedings.
