Assistant Director of Student Recruitment

POSITION GOALS - This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing student recruitment activities at Camden County College.
- The Assistant Director of Student Recruitment will demonstrate and promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
- Monitors and analyzes enrollment and regional workforce data to identify target populations for recruitment and provides flexible, rapid response to emerging opportunities; evaluates and reports on trends and developments across priority and emerging markets to inform the College's recruitment strategy.
- Expands the College's capacity to recruit students that represent Camden County and surrounding area populations, by implementing strategic recruitment strategies and identifying appropriate forums to engage and outreach within local communities.
- Identifies and achieves goals and targets for increasing and sustaining enrollment through targeted outreach campaigns, one-on-one follow-up with prospective students, developing deeper relationships with high schools (including the Camden County Guidance Directors Association), community organizations, and local employers. Recognizes growth and development opportunities and responds effectively to emerging issues in alignment with CCC's Strategic Plan and Enrollment Management Plan.
- Assists in the planning, designing, coordination and implementation of recruitment initiatives in alignment with CCC enrollment goals. Leads teams in facilitating on- and off-campus recruiting events/activities.
- Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates assigned staff.
- Oversees coordination of targeted events, emphasizing increased partnerships and visibility with local high schools, employers, and other community organizations designed to increase CCC visibility/enrollment. Serves as a liaison with internal and external offices and departments that engage in the recruitment process.
- Monitors student database and performs evaluations for all events and campaigns.
- Assists in the development of the College's prospective student communication plan, using multi-channel/multi-faceted communications strategies (including social media platforms) that align with set targets according to demographic, program of interest, region, etc.
- Remains current on student recruitment best practices for both in person, online and virtual presence.
- Complies with all safety, fire, and smoking regulations.
- Completes all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree required.
- One to three years experience in a higher education setting, preferably related to admissions, recruitment or marketing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: oral and written communications.
- Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, database and presentation software (PowerPoint).
- Highly energetic, flexible, and motivated with ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, prioritize, implement, follow-up and stay on track with multiple projects.
- Experience with public speaking, Internet technologies, newsletters, blogs.
- Experience with event planning and event setup.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule with occasional early morning, evening, and weekend activities.
- Valid driver's license, insurance and personal vehicle required.

Special Instructions for Applicants
This position requires a flexible work schedule that includes evenings and weekends. This position requires constant mobility on and off-site (attending meetings, setting up events/displays and taking materials such as information packets, folding tables, chairs, and tents to events).
This position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 65 lbs.
Dexterity in working with computers is mandatory (writing communications, inputting data onto spreadsheets, uploading databases, researching databases and querying databases). Standard working hours are as follows : Academic Year : Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Summer : Monday through Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Friday 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
