Bookkeeper – Experienced

We are seeking a high-energy, experienced Automotive Bookkeeper to join our accounting team. This position supports financial operations across our multi-store dealership group, ensuring maximum accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. The ideal candidate has a strong background in dealership accounting, including factory reconciliations, rebate scheduling, and deal posting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconciliations: Perform detailed reconciliations of parts statements, factory
  receivables, floorplan statements, and reserve accounts.
• Rebates & Incentives: Accurately process all rebates, factory incentives, and holdback schedules, communicating frequently with sales management to maintain accurate schedules.
• Deal Posting: Act as a backup to the deal clerk to accurately post new and used vehicle deals into the Dealer Management System (DMS), including calculating commissions, processing trade payoffs, and finalizing deal jackets.
• Inventory Control: Assist with stocking in new/used vehicle inventory and cleaning inventory schedules
• Accounts Payable/Receivable: assist with AP/AR tasks, including invoice
  processing and maintaining clean schedules as assigned
• Month-End Close: Actively participate in the month-end closing process to ensure timely financial reporting.
• Compliance: Ensure all transactions adhere to company policies, GAAP, and
  dealership compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2+ years of current or recent automotive dealership bookkeeping
  experience (Required).
• Experience in Dealertrack DMS
• Deep well rounded understanding of automotive accounting and dealership
  operations.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-store environment.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for inter-departmental collaboration.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to integrity.
