Our client, a Global Leader in the Medical Device Industry has an immediate opening for a Sr. Engineering Technician for a 6 month + Contract . Responsibilities

• Providing technical support to engineers and scientists across a variety of technical tasks.
• Developing and recommending procedures, methods, and test protocols to improve efficiency and quality.
• Preparing technical reports and documentation to communicate results and findings.
• Performing technical evaluations of events to determine root cause and recommending corrective actions.
• Conducting wear testing and characterization of prosthetic joint implant bearing materials and designs using state-of-the-art joint wear simulators and analytical techniques such as white light interferometry (WLI) and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
• Administering tests by setting up equipment, operating joint simulators, and collecting data.
• Characterizing materials using advanced metrology and imaging techniques.
• Maintaining test equipment and laboratory facilities, including calibration and supply management.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure testing and documentation meet regulatory and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in an engineering technician role, preferably in a medical device or precision manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with WLI, CMM, and other metrology equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis.
• Experience in wear testing or material characterization preferred.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety standards and equipment maintenance.
