Key Responsibilities:

- Organize, file, and retrieve patient medical records in accordance with established procedures

- Ensure all records are complete, accurate, and up-to-date

- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations

- Assist with scanning, indexing, and digitizing paper records as needed

- Support administrative staff by providing requested records promptly and accurately

- Conduct regular audits to verify the integrity and completeness of medical records

- Follow proper procedures for record disposal and retention in accordance with legal and organizational policies

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Medical Records File Clerk or in a similar role within a healthcare setting

- Knowledge of medical record-keeping procedures and privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA)

- Strong organizational and time-management skills

- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion

- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and office software

- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical records management is a plus
