Laundry Care Attendant

TEX of S.F. Bay Area has an immediate opening for a Laundry Care Attendant. We are a disaster restoration company that provides emergency services to those who have suffered damages to their clothing/textiles due to water, fire, and/or mold. We are looking to train the right person who is hard working, reliable, and able to function in a fast-paced working environment.

Responsibilities:

• Wash and fold clothing.
• Sort articles of clothing to be cleaned by fabric type, color, and cleaning technique.
• Understand and use of proper drying method for safe handling of each garment.
• Add detergent, bleach, and other chemicals to laundry machines.
• Inspect articles of clothing for stains and fabrics that require special care.
• Maintain all laundry equipment.
• Follow directions and washing instruction detailed on each individual garment.
• Knowledge of stain treatment to remove stains.
• Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies.
• Have the ability to work overtime, if needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry 50lbs.
• Knowledge of fabrics.
• Be able to stand for long periods of time throughout the day.
• Ability to bend and kneel.
• Must be able to speak and understand English.
• Prior experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently.

Compensation: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
