The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

Required skills and job limitations are defined in departmental policy and procedure manual and pre-established standards of care. Prepares patients for necessary tests and conducts test such as electrocardiograms, holter monitoring, obtain specimens and venipunctures. Medical Assistant will obtain information from patients and their family members, which are required for their procedures. Prepares, edits, and processes related reports for physician s interpretation and appropriate distribution. Uses and understanding of the principles of growth and development to asses each patient s age specific needs and provides age specific treatment and care.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required,
• Ability to type medical documents accurately and efficiently

Preferred:

• Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred

Job Specific Requirements:

• Able to confirm cardiologist interpretation following proper format
• Able to manually bill proper procedures for discharged patients
• Completes daily Checklist in it entirety
• Able to properly order for Life Net EKGs
• Able to successfully perform venipuncture, selecting an appropriate site, proper application of tourniquet, skin prep, assembling of correct tubes, and correct order of draw
• Able to successfully perform various tests to include but not limited to Nasal swabs, urine pregnancy, and accucheck
• Completes daily checklist in it entirely
• Confirms cardiologist interpretation accurately and distributes report to the unit and/or physician offices
