Technical Project Manager
Akkodis is seeking a Technical Project Manager for a Contract with a client in Newark, NJ (Hybrid). This role leads end‑to‑end delivery, manages cross‑functional teams, and ensures technical alignment across all project stages .
Rate Range: $50/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Technical Project Manager job responsibilities include:
Lead end‑to‑end delivery of medium to large data migration and data platform modernization projects.
Drive project planning, execution, sprint management, and delivery governance across onshore/offshore teams.
Develop and manage detailed project plans, migration roadmaps, sprint backlogs, and delivery milestones.
Coordinate closely with engineering, infrastructure, and architecture teams to ensure technical alignment and timely delivery.
Identify technical risks, bottlenecks, and design gaps, and define clear mitigation strategies.
Ensure adherence to delivery timelines, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations while enabling informed technical decision‑making.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field (master’s preferred).
Minimum 10+ years of total experience, including prior hands‑on development or technical lead experience before moving into project/delivery management.
Strong technical background in data engineering, data platforms, ETL/ELT pipelines, and modernization initiatives.
Proven experience leading large‑scale data migrations and data platform buildouts in onshore/offshore delivery models.
