Residential AV Technician & Programmer, Lutron / Savant

The Role: Bring Luxury Homes to Life

At Springboard Automation, we don’t just install gear; we orchestrate environments. We are looking for an experienced technician & programmer who lives and breathes Lutron HomeWorks and understands how lighting, shading, and AV come together to create a world-class home.

What You’ll Do

• Program and commission Lutron lighting and shading systems
• Configure and support control systems like Savant
• Test, optimize, and finalize complete home systems
• Troubleshoot complex systems on-site and remotely
• Work inside finished luxury homes where precision matters
• Special installation projects as needed

What You Need

• 2+ years programming and installing residential AV systems in private homes
• Solid experience with Lutron HomeWorks systems required
• Experience with Savant preferred
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals
• Ability to think holistically across lighting, AV, and control platforms
• Clean wiring, rack-building, and installation skills
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders
• Valid driver’s license

Travel Expectation

Overnight travel is an essential function of this role because our projects take us where our clients go.

• Primary Hubs : Projects in Philadelphia and NYC are common. Longer-distance travel may occur, including destinations such as Florida.
• Fully Covered : All business travel beyond a normal commute is fully covered.
• The Perks : We do things right: real hotels, not bargain rooms. Team dinners with drinks. Order the steak. Plus, you will receive a bonus of up to $100 per overnight.

Compensation : $30–$48 per hour based on experience + $100 per overnight travel night.

Employment Type : This is a full time, hourly, non-exempt role.
