About the Role
We are a premier boutique hotel and full-service catering and event venue dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences — from weddings and social celebrations to corporate events and private gatherings. We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Director of Sales to lead business development and drive revenue growth across all revenue streams. This position works directly under the General Manager.
Position Summary
The Director of Sales develops and executes strategic sales initiatives that increase revenue across hotel accommodations, catering, weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings. Working directly under the General Manager, this role cultivates relationships with clients, event planners, corporate partners, and community organizations while managing the sales process from lead generation through contract execution. The ideal candidate is a motivated hospitality sales professional with a proven record of exceeding goals and building strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals across weddings, corporate meetings, social events, and group bookings.
• Generate qualified leads through networking, prospecting, referrals, and community engagement; monitor market trends and competitor activity.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, and event planners; serve as primary contact for high-value and VIP accounts.
• Conduct property tours and client consultations; prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close sales.
• Partner with operations, catering, and event teams to ensure seamless event execution and exceptional service.
• Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, promotions, and digital outreach; represent the venue at trade shows, bridal expos, and networking events.
• Track and analyze sales metrics; prepare reports, forecasts, and budgets for leadership; manage departmental expenses.
Qualifications
• Minimum five (5) years of sales experience, preferably in hospitality, hotels, catering, events, or venue management.
• Proven success exceeding revenue and sales targets.
• Strong knowledge of hotel, catering, wedding, and corporate event sales.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales reporting tools.
• Strong organizational skills and a hands-on, get-it-done attitude.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
